Large Numbers Framelits

Hi Everyone,
My twins turned 15 this past Tuesday and I'm a little late posting the cards I made for them.  I saw this card from Alisa Tilsner and wanted to recreate it for Ben.  I'm not sure why I put so much effort into the card for him, he never seems too impressed - lol!  But no way could I buy a card!
While I adore the Little Numbers Framelits from the Annual Catalog, the numbers in the Large Number Framelits are just the perfect size for both card making and scrapbooking. I love how Stampin' Up combined the stamp set with Framelits and love how they are selling it as a bundle.  The Number of Years stamp set is photopolymer which makes lining up the accessory stamps to the numbers so much easier.  I love photopolymer more and more and hope we see a lot more of them in the next Annual Catalog.

Apple of My Eye

Hi Everyone,
As I mentioned in a previous post, I bought the Apple of Me Eye set which really was outside of my usual choices but have grown to love it so much.  I love the font and the fruits are just so cute!  I find myself pairing it up with Timeless Textures quite often.  In this sample I used the cute cherries and popped them up on dimensionals.  The cherries punch out with the 1/2" circle punch so there is no need to fussy cut them.
For this card, I paired one of my favorite colors, Blackberry Bliss with a color I barely have used, Delightful Dijon.  I think they look great together and I will be very sad when Blackberry Bliss retires at the end of May.  If you want to stock up on the retiring In Colors cardstock, ink, markers or reinkers, I would do so soon as they tend to sell out fast once the retiring list comes out.

Party Wishes

Hi Everyone,
So I seem to be obsessed with this cake from the Party Wishes set.  Since my last 2 were very feminine I decided to go for a more masculine look this time.  I stamped the cake in Basic Black and then heat set it before I embossed the Silver on.  I find it much easier to emboss on stamped images by heat setting them first.  I tend to end up with a mess of embossing power all over my image that I can't get off when I don't do it.  And as always use the embossing buddy before stamping the versamark, it really makes a big difference.
The design on the rest of the card is the Everyday Chic Washi Tape and the incredible Glitter Tape from the added Sale-A-Bration items.  Don't forget that SAB ends at the end of March and you don't want to miss the Glitter Tape, its really wonderful!

Party Wishes

Hi Everyone,
I decided that I loved the cake from the last card I made so much that I had to make another one :).  This time I paired with the "Happy Birthday" from the Cottage Greetings stamp set and the "let us celebrate" from the Balloon Celebration stamp set.  The "let us celebrate" can actually be used as a string for the balloons from that set, but I just love the font on it and wanted it to be a focal point.  This is definitely a girly Birthday Card and you can see that I've added some of the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.  It's always nice to have some glimmer and shine on a card.
