Bloom by Bloom

Hi Everyone,

I love Stampin' Up's Designer Series Paper (DSP) but sometimes I feel a bit limited in backgrounds for cards because I want a color combo that just isn't available at the time.  So I decided to create my own background using 1 of the stamps from the Bloom by Bloom set.  This was very easy to do and you can use the technique to make any color combination background that you would like.

I paired the background with a few other stamps from the Bloom by Bloom set and heat embossed the images.  I think the shiny black is a nice contrast the the colors on the background I created.  The Black Foil I used is a hidden gem - at least in my opinion.  I just love how it looks with the embossed images.

Hope you enjoy!

Floral Phrases & The Stamparatus

Hi Everyone,

Sometimes a new tool comes out and we all get excited for a little while and then it dies down a bit and we wonder why we bought it.  However with the Stamparatus I feel like its one of the best tools I have ever invested in.  I find myself bringing it out more and more often and thought I would share one of the projects I've made with it here.

I used the Floral Phrases Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog.  It's such a beautiful set and sometimes I feel like I forget about the sets in the Annual Catalog when the seasonal catalogs come out but there are really gorgeous things in there!  I was able to create the background for this card using the "hinge step" technique with the Stamparatus.  I'm not sure where that term came from but its really easy to do and comes out so nicely.  YouTube link is below to today's card.

If you are interested in more techniques with the Stamparatus please let me know and you can also check out this link below for an earlier video that I made:
